Twethics?

Join me on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 as we discuss Twitter and the ethics of using the application. With the recent uncovering and revelation of Guy Kawasaki using “ghost twitterers” or “ghost tweeters” is that an accepted practice? Do you think individuals should have people sending tweets for them? Obviously, someone like Guy Kawasaki is a busy person and has many followers. To keep that Twitter stream going on a full time basis, is it an accepted practice to have others sending out tweets and links to your community? We will discuss that and more on the show tomorrow.

I continue with my series on The Gaming of Twitter Exposed. I have been following along with the story about people inflating their Twitter followers through the use of third party applications. We had on our show last time, Lucretia Pruitt, (@GeekMommy) and Jesse Stay (@jesse) from Social Too. We discussed how you could game Twitter by inflating your follower numbers. I am continuing to discuss those topics and others under the idea of Twitter Ethics. We are just now seeing the idea that spammers and snake oil salesman and the marketers are taking over the Twittersphere. How is that going to change the way we view Twitter? I will continue the topic as we do our show and continue the series. We are using the hashtags #twethics and #gamingtwitter. Let all your friends know about them and use them any time you think there has been a breach or perhaps someone has done something right.
