Jesse Stay Tells Social Mediasphere How to Stay SocialToo

I first interviewed Jesse a while back when we discussed gaming Twitter. Jesse is a well known social media practitioner and I am looking forward to speaking with Jesse again on my show today!

Jesse Stay is a speaker, author, blogger, and entrepreneur, who writes and consults on the topics of social media and new media architecture, bridging the gap between “technical” and “social” for both marketers and developers. Jesse wrote two books, his first book, “I’m on Facebook–Now What???“, discusses the possibilities of improving your career, family, business, and life through Facebook. His second book, FBML Essentials (O’Reilly), focuses more on technology and how developers can learn from the Facebook developer platform, and is currently working on Facebook Application Development for Dummies in his spare time.  Jesse was recently named one of 20 developers to follow on Twitter and one of 10 entrepreneurs to follow on Twitter by the top Tech blog Mashable.com.

His unique technology background has enabled him to help others understand the new mesh of technology, marketing, PR, and customer service, which social media has come to be, and how they can deeply integrate these technologies into their own environments.  Jesse has consulted for top 10 Facebook applications, large corporations, social media applications with hundreds of thousands of users, and has helped many people become successful through their social media efforts to merge technology with marketing. Jesse is currently CEO, Founder, and Chief Architect of another successful social media venture called SocialToo, which makes it easier to manage and stay in touch with the people you or your business follow on the social networks people belong to. During his day job, Jesse serves as the Social Media Architect for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, an organization with over 14 million members and some of the largest humanitarian and service efforts in the world. (Yes, he’s a Mormon)

Jesse also writes regularly for his own blog, StayNAlive, and has contributed to LouisGray.com and the top two Facebook blogs, InsideFacebook and AllFacebook. You can find him there, or on Twitter under his screen name, @Jesse, on Facebook at http://facebook.com/stay, or on LinkedIn at http://linkedin.com/in/facebook. Contact him for a jam-packed consulting session about how your business strategy can benefit through integration of Social Media technologies and philosophy!

SMTV Episode 1: Our First Show Was A Success…Nobody Got Hurt!

Our first show here on Social Mediasphere TV came and went on March 31, 2009, and I must say it went much better than anticipated.  We discussed the Ethics of Twitter or what I called Twethics.  We had some call in guests, John Hawkins and Justin Parks (he helped our show go global!) that helped me get through the show and everyone in the chat room communicated nicely and we had a great time.  Now that the first one is over, I look forward to bringing many more shows about the world of social media and the happenings of what is going on in our industry.

Palegroove Studios and CEO/Founder, Kris Smith were a tremendous help.  They were instrumental in assisting with providing my mixing board, the microphones and much needed support including advice, direction and certianly the cheerleading to keep my eye on the prize.  Kit Seeborg, President of BumperTunes provided the much needed music and intro for the show.  Thanks goes out also to Steve Saylor and Keith Burtis who were also very helpful whenever I needed someone to help test something, or explain how to perfrom a task.  These guys are great help when and if you need a hand.  Finally my own team of Shylah and Tyler were great to get the site set up, the design accomplished and well, just kept helping when I kept asking.

Welcome to Social Mediasphere TV and join in the fun and be a part of the social media community!
